Prevent Training Enhanced Awareness

Prevent Training Enhanced Awareness

The sessions will cover:

· An overview of CONTEST, The Prevent Duty, why it is important and an understanding of Terrorism legislation.

· The National and Local picture, including the types of ideologies present in Essex and the UK.

· How radicalisation happens, the influencing factors, what to look out for, what to do if you are worried about someone and what happens when someone is referred to Prevent.

There will also be an opportunity to work together on some case studies to think about the type of situations where you may have concerns about a young person you’re working with, and what you can do.

All sessions are held via MS Teams and a calendar invite with the joining link will be sent to you upon registration.

Sessions available being held on Tuesday 11 March from 13:00-15:00 and Friday 28 March 10:00-12:00.
