Jenni is Fundraising Director at The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, a charity which enables thousands of young people in the UK to reach their full potential.
She has spent 16 years working in the not-for-profit and public sector managing communications, marketing and fundraising teams within health, education, sport and children and young people’s services. Prior to the DofE she was Income Generation and Marketing Director at Haven House Children’s Hospice responsible for voluntary income, trading and volunteering. In her four years at the charity she led the team to double its fundraised income. Prior to this she was the Assistant Director of Fundraising & Marketing at The Scout Association.
Jenni holds an MSc in Charity Accounting & Financial Management from Cass Business School and is a Trustee of the Institute of Fundraising Corporate Fundraising Committee.
Jenni enjoys all sports and has tried most of them at least once. Being afraid of water she only learnt to swim a few years ago which opened up the world of triathlon and has subsequently represented the GB age group team in Duathlon. Jenni believes there is a sport for everyone regardless of your ability or previous experience. Activities that not only bring significant physical and mental health benefits, but are fun, where you can make new friends and teammates (at any age) and a place where you can find you belong. Remember – said as someone who has often finished last – you’re always faster than the person sat on the sofa.
